1. How do I order my invitations from Chic Ink?
- If you’d like one of our customizable letterpress wedding designs, just fill out the order form, submit your $150 design fee retainer, and relax while we design your digital mock-ups within 3 business days. You’ll receive an itemized invoice with your mock-ups. Up to 2 rounds of revisions are included in your retainer, additional changes will incur a fee. A 50% payment is due prior to printing with the remaining payment due prior to shipping.
- All of our custom work begins with a complimentary consultation. Contact us via email (heather@chicink.com) or phone (425-392-3943) to set up an appointment. We will go over your wish list and you will receive a price quote via email within 3 business days. Once you are ready to begin, we require a $300 non-refundable retainer/design fee to begin custom samples. You will receive up to 3 original designs with your first round of proofs. Two design modifications are included during the proofing process; additional changes will incur a fee. Once your design is chosen and prepared for production, a 50% payment is due. Your final payment is due prior to delivery.
2. How much notice do you need to complete my project?
We prefer an 8 week lead time to work on your invitations. Contacting us 5-9 months before your wedding date is ideal as our calendar fills up quickly during the wedding season. However, we have been known to finish entire wedding ensembles in less than 2 weeks, so if you are on a tight deadline, don’t hesitate to contact us. Rush projects will be subject to an additional fee.
Here’s a rough timeline for our average invitation order. All days listed are considered business days.
- Up to 2 days to receive an itemized invoice or price quote
- 1-5 days to receive your first mock-ups
- 1-5 days to receive each requested revision
- 10-25 days for printing and assembly
- 3-10 days for shipping within the United States
3. Can I see some samples first?
We have a$25 sample fee payable via Paypal. Included in your sample pack is a selection of our previous invitations. We will try to accommodate your special requests. Place your $150 design fee retainer within 30 days of receiving your samples and we’ll apply your sample fee to your order.
4. What is included in the ensemble? How much does it cost?
Everything created at Chic Ink is custom made for you. During our consultation, we’ll discuss your needs and a custom ensemble complete with price quote will be provided. Most ensembles include invitation, response card, and matching envelopes. Pricing begins around $6 per set. Our minimum invitation order is $500.
5. Do you take credit cards? Can we have a payment plan?
Yes, we accept all major credit cards. We are also happy to offer a three- payment plan to break up your purchase.
6. Can I order more than just invitations?
We are happy to offer coordinated items to match your invitation ensemble and custom upgrades. Choose from any of the following items:
- Save the Date
- Extra insert (ie. accomodations card, directions card, etc.)
- Deluxe envelopes for invitation and response card (ie. colored and/or lined envelopes)
- Wedding Program
- Wedding Favor
- Escort card
- Place card
- Table number
- Menu
- Digital invite (use this on your wedding website, email to friends, or save as a keepsake)
- Return address printing

7. What types of printing do you offer?
Chic Ink specializes in letterpress printing for all your invitation needs. The look and feel of this specialty printing adds a luxurious feel to your special event announcements. We are also happy to offer digital flat printing for small run jobs in addition to special thermography printing. For questions regarding these types of printing, don’t hesitate to contact us.
