How Do I Order My Wedding Invitations From Chic Ink?
Well, it's been a little over a month since Chic Ink opened it's doors. We're so excited to work with brides in the Seattle area. However, we figured it was time to remind our readers how easy it is to get started with Chic Ink.
Step 1:
Contact
us to set up a consultation. We use this time to discuss
what your needs are. We gather information about your color preference, what
theme you have chosen, and your timeline.
Step 2: We will
create a FREE mock-up sample for you to approve. This applies to announcements,
invitations, programs, and party favors. Your sample will be emailed to you as a
pdf document.
Step 3: Once you
approve the mock-up, we require a 50% deposit to begin work. The remaining 50%
will be due upon delivery.
Step 4: You receive
your products and are ready to show them off! Don't forget about our referral
plan and repeat customer discount.
Be sure to contact us at least 4 months before your special day. We are happy to complete rush orders, however an additional fee will apply.

Happy Birthday to Me!
So, normally I wouldn't do a post like this, but it's my birthday today! Check out what my dear husband, Patrick gave me. Isn't it cool? For those of you who don't know, Patrick is a big watch-nut. In November, he bought me my first mechanical automatic watch – an IWC Portofino. I won't get into the specifics here, but it's a pretty cool timepiece.
Now, onto my new watch. It's a Chronoswiss Timemaster watch. This is the really cool part. Patrick won it! When he brought it home, I had to try it on. And lucky me, it matches one of my yellow shirts perfectly. Voila! It's mine!
Okay, more special events will posted tomorrow. I just had to give you a glimpse into my new passion!

Welcome to Chic Ink!
I am so excited to share my new adventure with you. My name is Heather Hildebrant, and I'm the founder of Chic Ink. For the past 4 years, I've been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in the Seattle area and have loved every minute of it. I teach paper crafting classes to people to love to stamp. Over the years, I discovered that some of my friends and customers didn't have the time to stamp and create on their own. Once they found out that I sell pre-made items, they jumped at the chance to own custom-made, one of a kind creations.
Out of this need, I started Chic Ink.
This is a place for those who don't have time to make their own projects, but appreciate the art of handmade, custom, and one of a kind paper crafts. Here you can order everything you need to celebrate your fabulous events, including weddings, new babies, graduations, and retirements.
Chic Ink is a full-service company. We will work with you to create everything you need for your event including invitations, party favors, decorations, and of course scrapbook albums to cherish your events long after they end.

What is the process for ordering custom invitations, favors, or scrapbooks from Chic Ink?
Step 1: Contact us to set up a consultation.
- For our local clients we meet in person to show you our extensive sample collection and complete the questionnaire together. We request a $150 non-refundable retainer to begin design work on your creations. You receive 2 custom mock-ups with your retainer.
- For our out of town clients we send you a sample set and questionnaire for $15. We follow up with you to discuss the questionnaire and request a $150 non-refundable retainer to begin design work on your creations. You receive 2 custom mock-ups with your retainer.
Step 2: Once you approve a final design – keep in mind that some mock-ups go through multiple designs before final approval – we request a 50% deposit to begin work.
Step 3: The remaining 50% of your balance will be due upon delivery.
Step 4: You receive your products and are ready to show them off! Don’t forget about our referral plan and repeat customer discount.
How much notice do you need to complete my project?
The lead time depends on the occasion. See the list below for a guideline. Of course, these are rough estimates, so be sure to contact us if you have a rush project. Rush projects may be subject to an additional fee.
- Save the Date: Ideally, you will mail these out 6-12 months before your event. We prefer 4 weeks lead time to finish these.
- Invitations: For weddings, these should be mailed at least 4 months before your event. We prefer 6-8 weeks lead time to finish these. For all other events, plan on mailing at least 2 months before your event. We prefer 6 weeks lead time to finish these.
- Programs and Party Favors: We prefer 4 weeks lead time for these projects.
